Painting Contest on India 1947 vs India 2047

As a part of the Independence Day Celebrations 2026, the Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens to participate in a Painting Competition on the theme “ India 1947 vs India 2047“. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the recent developments and achievements of our nation, showcasing India’s progress across key sectors. From advancements in science and technology to strides in infrastructure, education, and defence, this competition offers a platform for artists to creatively depict the spirit of a strong, self-reliant India.

Participation Guidelines:

Participants are to showcase paintings on the theme ” India 1947 vs India 2047″ depicting recent developments and achievements of India.

Gratifications:
1. Top 3 short listed winners will be awarded prize money of Rs. 15,000/- each.
2. 20 Consolation winners will be awarded prize money of Rs. 5000/- each.
3. Top 200 participants along with one companion (spouse/guardian/relative etc.) would be issued e-invitation to witness Independence Day Celebration to be held on 15th August, 2026 at Red Fort, Delhi.

Kindly Note : Competition is being simultaneously held on MyGov as well as MyBharat platform. A single combined result of winners will be issued for both the platforms i.e. MyGov and MyBharat. Participants are required to participate in only of these platforms.
1. Participant must be a Citizen of India.

2. The entries will be bilingual, i.e. in Hindi & English.

3. An individual can participate only once.

4. Top 200 participants would be issued an e-invitation to witness the Independence Day Ceremony-2026 at Red Fort, Delhi, along with one companion (guardian/spouse/relative, etc).

5. The top 200 participants, selected for issuing an e-invitation for the Independence Day Ceremony-2026 at Red Fort, New Delhi, are requested to provide the following mandatory details in respect of self and one companion (guardian/ spouse/relative, etc)

6. Participants will, therefore, be required to provide only a valid e-mail & mobile number as further correspondence, if any, seeking the details for issuing an e-Invitation & payment of the winning prize will only be made via e-mail. Therefore, the participants are requested to keep a regular watch on his/her e-mail.

7. One mobile number & one email ID cannot be used by more than one participant for one competition/quiz/Contest during IDC-2026.

8. On receipt of e-mail or call from the Ministry of Defence, three winners will be required to submit the requisite documents for releasing the winning prize/payment, viz. ID proof & Bank Details, copy of cancelled cheque, etc.

9. It may be noted that all the expenses related to travel, lodging, food, etc., to visit Delhi for witnessing the Independence Day Ceremony at Red Fort on 15th August, 2026, will be borne by the individual himself/herself.

10. However, travelling in the Delhi Metro toward to & fro journey to witness the Parade will be free of charge on showing an e-invitation at any of the Delhi Metro Stations.

11. Winners will be announced on the basis of the screening of the entries by a Screening Committee in the Ministry of Defence.

12. The decision of the Screening Committee may not be challenged further in any manner.

13. Use of any unfair/spurious means/ malpractices, including but not limited to impersonation, double participation, etc., during the participation in the competition, will result rejection of participation.

14. No copyright material should be used, and an undertaking regarding the same to be furnished. Non-furnishing of the same will render the selection null and void. Furthermore, the organisers of the competition or any agency acting on their behalf reserve all rights in this regard.

15. Employees, directly or indirectly connected with organising the competition, are not eligible to participate in the contest. This ineligibility also applies to their immediate family members.

16. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, organizers reserve the right to amend or withdraw the competition at any time. For the avoidance of doubt, this includes the right to amend these terms and conditions. Changes will be updated on the MyGov platform.

17. By participating in this contest, participants agree to abide by the contest’s terms and conditions and any amendments.

18. All disputes/ legal complaints are subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi only. Expenses incurred for this purpose will be borne by
the parties themselves.
